In April, Shayne Corson a 17 year veteran of the NHL left the Toronto Maple Leafs during the playoffs citing medical reasons. Corson had missed 4 games earlier that month after suffering a major flare-up of Ulcerative Colitis. Corson was diagnosed with colitis at age 15 and has suffered numerous flares.
